"Do not tell unkind stories, but most importantly, never tell long ones." - Benjamin Disraeli

Yes, we make house calls. Since
Avivara was founded, its growth and success have been based on one key
ingredient - relationships. At first our core group of supporters was
made up of close friends and family. But over time our network of donors
has grown and extended outward, much like the ripples in a pond made by
a dropped pebble. Primarily, our staff presentations have been that "pebble" and have
been our most effective way to share with others our experiences, our
struggles, and our invitation to donate to our programs.
Our
staff usually visits the U.S. twice a year, once in the spring,
and then again in the fall. During those trips we are always seeking
opportunities to meet with people who may not know about who
we are and what we do to help the children of Guatemala receive a better
education.
This is where we could use your help. Perhaps your
church, community group or school would like to hear a presentation. Or,
if you are really serious about promoting our cause, you could host a
gathering of your friends and family in your home. (From our experience,
this is where the majority of our donations have been generated.)
If you are interested in helping us organize a presentation, please send us more information using our Contact Us form.
