| Fund-Raising Events and Activities
For Avivara to continue its work in improving education in Guatemala, it must rely on a combination of individual donations, grants from corporations, foundations and community groups, and fund-raising.
Our major fund-raising efforts such as our fall dinner and annual funding appeals are spearheaded by our Board and staff, but we also receive a significant amount of support from individuals, families and schools that choose to organize their own independent fund-raising events. We call these LIFE events (Legendary Independent Fund-raising Events).

Finally, our staff is always willing and ready to make presentations in homes, at schools, for community groups, and/or churches during our periodic trips to the United States. If you are interested in hosting such a presentation, please contact us.
